Profile
Michael Aish is the co-founder and head coach of Aish Football Academy. He helped establish the academy after recognising a gap in specialised AFL skill development programs for young footballers in South Australia. The academy was created to support aspiring athletes in reaching their highest potential and progressing through SANFL, AFL and AFLW pathways.
Michael enjoyed an outstanding SANFL career with the Norwood Football Club, playing 307 league games from 1979–1993. He was inducted into the SANFL Hall of Fame in 2002 and remains one of Norwood’s most decorated players. His achievements include four Norwood Club Champion awards, two premierships, 15 South Australian State games as captain in 1986 and 1989, the 1981 Magarey Medal, and the 1983 Fos Williams Medal. Michael was also named a two-time All Australian and selected in the Norwood Team of the Century.
Outside football, Michael has had a long career in business and leadership through the Aish family IT and cyber security company.
His passion remains in helping develop the next generation of footballers and supporting young athletes to grow as both players and individuals on and off the field.
